It was a pleasant trip traveling from one kingdom to another. Yes, I went to nearby kingdom to personally experience the life, openness & leisure they can offer. Bahrain is just 45 minutes drive away from the place where I’am working at the moment. The cross-over to the island taught me many things not just for personal satisfaction (ehem!). I met friends who I worked with since I started my Saudi Arabia life. They are all working in the same field except that they are earning much more compare to what they earned when they were still working here.
The life of each pinoy working in Bahrain is far different from the the pinoy working in Saudi Arabia. The comparisons were just derived from the lifestyle we are experiencing here because of the restrictions & provisions of Saudi government. Personally, I chose not to offend some, I love the life atmosphere in Saudi Arabia compare to the life in Bahrain. Why?…the chance to save for your future & your family is already in our hands since nightlife & liesures were restricted here. Yap, we need to pamper ourselves from a long & tiring days of work but we dont have the choice to do so. Instead, play computer games, watch movies & television, eat chichiriya from bakala & jog around corniche. That made us unique, hehehehe!

In ancient times, the island was occupied by a diversity of races which include Babylonians, Sumerians, Greeks, Persians, Portuguese & Turks. Today the population breeds a fascinating blend of eastern & western cultures with hundreds of thousands of foreign workers integrated into the main stream of society. Modern Bahrain allows them to enjoy a very modern & cosmopolitan lifestyle with full democracy & freedom of expression.
Bahrain climate prevail all year round, summer & winter. Summer are hot & humid between April & October. Umaabot ito ng 40 centigrado at minsan 52 centigrado. Winters are more pleasant with temps going down to 20 degrees celcius o mababa pa. Seasonal winds periodically cause sandstorms & rough seas. Occassional rains come during the months of December to April.
Anyway, if you feel like going to movie houses? Bahrain is just 45 mins away from Al Khobar. You have still the chance to experience just for awhile the pleasure you are starving for.
